Blogger Reviews of Annie's Thai Castle

I didn't have my socks knocked off by Annie's Thai Castle, but I enjoyed reasonably-priced and well-made mainstream american thai food. I'm not sure if Annie's has seen a decline since the hype that I have picked up on over the year, or if I am just missing something obvious. Either way, I'm okay with it because (finally) when coworkers ask for suggestions for lunch, I can whip out Annie's as an affordable alternative to some of Buckhead's other offerings. 3 stars.

  • krncantn reviewOne of the single WORST experiences of my dining life. Choosing to have a birthday meal here made not only the birthday evening a disaster, it basically ruined the entire month. Annie herself is perhaps the rudest, least gracious restaurant owner in Atlanta. Avoid it like the plague, patronize one of these establihments for tremendous food with charming and attentive service - Thai Chili or Tamarind.

  • crlyq0004 reviewMy husband and I went to have dinner for my birthday at Annie's. It was our first time there. I had heard they had delicious food and I have been wanted to go there for quite a while. The food was what we had expected, but the service was very rude. The waitress pretty much slammed our glasses of water on the table and walked off. She also threw the rice on our plate, it got all over the table, and finally gave our check without offering any dessert. We will definitely not be going back.

  • jechileah reviewGood food! Nice spices -- not too hot. Nice atmosphere -- very casual.

  • ChefMozMy 1st experience with Thai food was at Annie's. I loved it!!! Then, I traveled considerable for work so I sought Thai food in every city, hoping to match Annie's. I never could! The Pad Thai truly can't be matched. Everytime I'm in Atlanta, I make an effort to grab a meal at Annie's. My only disappointment is that they won't divulge the recipe for the Thai Cat.

  • ChefMozGreat food - order the Pad Thai, it's amazing! All the curries and duck dishes are superb too.

  • ChefMoz This resturant is one of the best Thai places that I have ever been to. At night it is dark so can be very romantic or annoying atmosphere.

  • ChefMozToday was my first experience with Thai food. A good friend of mine took me to Annie's. I could not eat the food, it didn't taste fresh to me. I requested something different from the waiter (I had only eaten a few bites mind you); I was told that the manager said it was "just the way they cook and that if I wanted something else I would have to pay for both meals - sorry." I even requested that they just give me some rice instead of the noodles that were horrible and they wouldn't even do that. To make matters worse the manager did not even show his/her face. I will not return to this restaurant - I thought that was very rude of the manager. I can't imagine a manager not trying to make a customer happy - especially when I had to pay full price for a plate of food I was unable to eat.
