  • auntiej500 reviewThis is our second trip to the newly reopened Wildwood in the last two weeks. Our first trip was just Ok so we decided to try again to see if it would be better the second time around. Our second trip on May 6 was horrible. The Sonoma salad was very weak. The mushrooms were tiny and the cheese was one lump thrown in the corner of the plate. Two of us had the ribeye special. It tasted like a frozen piece of steak cooked on a frying pan. The baked potatoes were burnt. Very tough and extremely salty. One of us had the Chicken and Asparagus which was unedible. One of our servers was very bad. We ordered a bottle of white wine and requested a chilled bucket from our waitress to keep the wine cold. The waitress never bothered to bring the bucket(it should have come with the wine). The dual waitress style doesnt ensure good service. Bring back the old Wildwood service and food.

  • jamis reviewModerately expensive.. expect to pay approximately $50 when dining for two.. add a bit more for alcohol. Definately one of the better steak houses around, they also have a great selection of fish.

  • auntiej500 reviewThe Wildwood is a good reastaurant, but not great. It's better than most chain steakhouses, but lagging behind some of the other quality steakhouses in the area.

  • auntiej500 reviewDisappointing is the best word to describe our dining experience at the Wildwood. We were encouraged by the remodelling that had taken place and were hopeful that we would have an excellent dining experience. Our waiter was very good, unfortunately, the kitchen was slow (we arrived for a 6:00pm reservation and received our meal at 7:30pm!). The food was unfortunately cold when it arrived and overall each meal was average to below average at best. The worst part of the experience was a visit to our table from the restaurant manager Nick. When we shared with Nick that our waiter was doing a very good job and being very attentive but unfortnately we had just received our meal at 7:30pm when we arrived at 6:00pm, he proceeded to tell us that they kitchen was NOT slow and that our meal arrived in just 7 minutes over the average kitchen time. He then insisted that our problem was our waitor. After a brief discussion with the Manager we were quickly able to determine that we would not be dining at the Wildwood again. Perhaps the new steak house in Westboro will employ a better management team and offer a better dining experience. Disappointing............

  • ChefMozStill a great place to eat and have cocktails made to perfection. The menu has a flair of delicious appetizers and great fish, steaks and pasta. The beverage selection is that of a downtown Boston Bar but priced for the suburbs. The service is in teams and we always have someone at our beckoning and have no problem getting extras we forgot to ask for. The wait is not bad on weekends ( up to an hour) but well worth it because the lounge area is ambient and the staff makes us so comfortable. overall, I say the Wildwood is a very affordable place to enjoy a night out.

  • ChefMozPrior to the renovation, this place had great food and a full menu. Now it has a limited menu of poorly prepared food.

  • ChefMozThe Wildwood of the past was hit or miss as far as meals went. However, after the renovations, and dining at least once a week now, due to the "dead nuts" consistency from the bread to the desserts, I have yet to be disappointed. We have tried everything from A to Z and all have been good enough that we don't leave with a doggy bag.

  • ChefMozUnfortunately, after the recent renovation, the menu was severely limited. Virtually all of the seafood dishes were listed as "market price", which discourages me from ordering, as I really don't want to pay 20-some odd dollars for some salmon.I ordered the Carnival Shrimp, and was very disappointed. The dish was described as a spicy grilled shrimp over pasta in a cream sauce. The shrimp looked fried but were actually coated with a bitter tasting seasoning. The pasta was cooked in water without any salt and were very flour-y tasting and the cream sauce was thin and bitter, like the shrimp. My husband ordered a surf and turf dish with a baked potato w/bacon. He received his turf, but not the surf, and two strips of bacon for his potato. The waitress did try to fix it, but we ended up with raw shrimp instead.Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the food, and we're not going back.

  • ChefMozThe Wildwood in Marlborough is one of my favorite places for dinner, but I have to admit the steaks can be either "perfect" or completely "bad". My husband and I only go there on the weekend now simply thinking it has to do with if they have a quality chef working weekends. The portions keep getting smaller and the prices keep going up.

  • ChefMozMy husband and I enjoy going out once a week for dinner and eagerly anticipated getting a good steak at the Wildwood Steakhouse. My husband had had one bad steak there but we thought it was a fluke. It was not. My husband ordered a medium cooked filet and got a charred, tough, tasteless piece of meat. After his last experience, he did not dare send it back for another try so he ordered a hamburger which was not bad. Unfortunately, I had already finished my meal and the whole incident made him lose his appetite. The manager apologized for the bad steak, offered us free dessert and coffee, and promised us that the next time we dined there he would personally assure us a good steak. He also assured us that we would not have to pay for the bad steak. What a guy. Needless to say, we skipped the dessert and vowed to never make the mistake of going to the Wildwood for a steak.

  • ChefMozBorn here, raised here, still here and this is my ultimate favorite place to dine out. As a young adult, I was always given gift certificates to the Wildwood for any occasion that came up, whether it be birthday, Christmas, etc. When I became a mother, it was Mother's Day, plus the rest. All my children knew what to buy their Mom. My first son worked there and was able to purchase gift certificates at any time, so I got more. If anyone new enters my life, and asks what to give me, my answer is always a Wildwood gift certificate. The food is always good. I usually get the Wildwood Sirloin and a Cesar Salad with anchovies. I love their Cesar dressing. The consistency is perfect; it's creamy and great tasting. The anchovies are not falling apart; they are good. The steak is always cooked to perfection for me. I have never had to send it back. The food amount is more than most restaurants and the salads are huge. At the beginning of the meal, the warm bread is just a tease of tastes to follow. They also have an array of fresh fish to choose from. It's a great place, the atmosphere is very nice, the prices are reasonable, and the lounge is big and roomy. The hostess is always happy to see you. I could spend hours just sitting there enjoying my dinner and usually do.

  • ChefMozI'm not from Marlborough, but an ex-roomate of mine from the area turned me on to this place about 15 years ago; and I've been going back ever since. Even a prolonged period away from the mainland US (in Vieques, PR) could not dull my memories of the great meals I'd had at Wildwood.Since I've been back, I have taken my girlfriend, then fiancee, now, bride there and we are never disappointed. The wait is not short, particularly on the weekend, as Wildwood does not take reservations, but it is certainly worth it. The bar is large and comfy, and you can whet your appetite with a well-made drink and a long gaze at the raw oysters, of which you should partake. The dress is upscale casual, though a tie is not out of place any more than golf attire.Once seated, the ambience of Wildwood lets you know that you're in a place that's humming, but not obtrusively. You'll be served worm braed and sweet butter, but take it easy, as the appetizera are good-sized, and the salads are the biggest I've seen anywhere. The stock-in-trade here is the steak (my favorite is the Blackjack sirloin), but there are always surprises on the specials list. The service is always great, especially considering how busy the place gets. In fact, writing this makes me think I haven't been there in a while - I'll be making the drive this weekend.

  • Chris B.Had the cedar plank salmon which was clearly not cooked on a cedar plank just served on a new one. And Aunt Jemima doesn't belong on salmon. Avoid.
