Skirt steak is incredible
by Toby B.
Spicy tripe stew is a must have! Ribeye is perfect.
by Sherry L.
Portland food already tends to be good so I already feel a little particular. I didn't think there could be a next level but there WAS. This place is AMAZING and def worth a nice night out
by Alley H.
Best scallops I've ever consumed. Pan fried in butter over risotto. For a drink the whiskey sour was great, except it went by another name. Definitely come on a weekday if you can, no reservations.
by Lily H.
Everything! Delicious steak, awesome sides, superb service and a great atmosphere. A must visit.
by Marie Mew
The kale and radicchio salad is fabulous! Do yourself a favor and order the larger portion, you won't regret it.

Aaron Barnett, chef of St. Jack, eats here on his nights off. He loves the Charcuterie board.
by Chefs Feed
It's all good.
by Gary R.
Skirt steak, fish, and mushrooms with liver. Sit at the bar or near the fire. A little expensive but very good. They have some kinda special red wine they make or source or whatever that's real good.
by Jeff W.
One of the best meals I've ever had. Their smoked marrow clam crowder and skirt steak. Wow.
Tripe, steak, risotto dishes
by Shianling King
Ox's mouthwatering menu, where vegetable and seafood dishes like Rainbow Chard and Clam Chowder crowned with Smoked Marrow Bone are as satisfying as the tender Skirt Steak.
by Food Network
Very expensive. The clam chowder was fantastic but the scallops and steaks are both under seasoned. Not worth the money.

We’re crushing on F&W Best New Chefs Greg & Gabrielle Denton! Don’t miss any of the Empanadas, Baked Ricotta, Caramelized Cauliflower, Sunchoke Gratin, the Maitake Mushroom or the Halibut Collar
by Sarah S.
Yes, it's an Argentine steakhouse but oysters and the halibut (served seasonally) are worth sacrificing a night of beef for.
Ways to spend a 2-hr wait? They do the brainstorming for you: grab a seat next to a stack of firewood at WheyBar for elite Portland cocktails. Once you're inside, ask what's coming off the wood grill.

2 hour wait

Skip the Asado Argentino and just order the best meat on it: the skirt steak. (If you get the asado anyway they will do some substitutions.)
Skirt steak. You won't regret it.

Argentinian inspired cuisine. Haven't had a chance to eat here myself, but have heard nothing but great things about it.
Great service amazing food. Worth the wai.
by Tio Rick
amazing brussels sprouts and spaghetti squash - this place is not just for meat eaters!! cocktails are delish also, well made and great bartenders.
by Kate Schrinsky
excellent service, good food, reasonably priced for the quality, extremely loud and hot (when it's warm outside)
by Sonja Lapinski
Clam chowder and skirt steak is phenomenal. But for the real foodies, start with the grilled lamb heart with arugula. Yum.
by Maggie C.
Truly great food. Excellently preparation and quality of flesh, perfectly undercooked as ordered. So happy.
by Robert D.
Summer bean salad is outstanding.
by Kushal D.
Hands down one of the best, if not the best, restaurant in Portland.
by Andrew C.
Chow down on one of the city’s best steaks.
Three words: Smoked. Beef. Tongue.
